China Mack likes things in order. Her weekly routine is set and she has no intention of changing it. Working as a computer programmer for the reknowned self-made millionaire, handsome as sin, and completely out of her league, Jackson Cooper, at his company Cysnet, lets her keep her routine as undisturbed as possible. Of course, admiring Jackson from afar is also part of her routine.
China’s life start to unravel the day she is assigned a new project. First it puts her in close quarters with Jackson, then members of her project team start dying, and for some reason Jackson seems to be keeping secrets.
Throw into the mix China’s sixteen year old niece, Mia, who has decided to stay with her. And the hunky new neighbour, Clark. China’s life is suddenly less than routine.
Can China keep it together long enough to put all the pieces together, relying on her insticts as much as logic, before anyone else ends up dead.
I make no secret of the fact that I am a complete and utter fan of Tiffany Snow’s books and this one has not disappointed.
China Mack is a sweet, young, innocent girl with a sever case of OCD (although she wont admit it). Having barely been kissed before to suddenly having two very hot guys do exactly that sends China into a tailspin. I love her geeky nature, and the T.V shows she watches…huge Firefly fan! Had to laugh when her niece reorganised her wardrobe.
As well as having a few comical moments, this book does not come short in the action and suspense department. Having read enough of Tiffany’s book I knew there was going to be secrets and ulterior motives behind the men’s actions but the stories behind each is intriguing. Clark and Jackson are two completely different personalities. Jackson is a self-made millionaire, geek and computer genius. Clark is a bankrupt, HR consultant (or is he?!)
By the end of this first book I was cheering for the relationship that China had found herself in but knowing there are more books to come, it is still anyone’s game. Clark didn’t fool me with his attitude towards China! Can’t wait for the next book….So exciting!
