Mia Strong has some tough decisions to make. She knows what Adam wants but she also knows what she wants. Can she make the right decision? What even is the right decision? While Mia struggles with what’s inside her, Adam struggles with what’s in front of him. How can he help Mia with her decision when he has no control, and if there is one thing that Adam needs it is control. When Mia becomes sick, Adam is there to care for her but at what cost to himself. Can their relationship last the secrets, lies and decisions that have been made?
What an emotional roller-coaster this series of books has been. From the very start when Mia was auctioning off her virginity to her battle against cancer, from finding the love of her life to pushing him away and then reconnecting only to get pushed away again. True love never did come smoothly. But doesn’t the rough come with the smooth? Don’t we all have to face hard times to appreciate the good?
The real decisions that had to made in this book were heartbreaking to say the least. As a mum I can completely sympathise with the painful choice that Mia had to make but in the end I am with her family and friends in that there really was only one choice. I felt sorry for Adam throughout, he had no time to get his own feelings sorted and everything got on top of him.
Loved the ending with the game interaction and Adam’s way of communicating his feelings. If anything can be learnt from these books, and I believe that we can learn something from any book we read, it’s that communication is vital in a relationship. So many of the relationships in romance novels fall apart due to communication issues but I guess that is also true in real-life.
Talk to your loved ones, share your feelings and don’t try to protect them from painful situations. And let’s all hope that Mia and Adam have a long and happy life together!
