One with You – Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day

Separating was the last thing either of them wanted and only opening up would bring them back together. Gideon felt like his world had fallen apart when Eva left to stay at Stanton’s penthouse, he would do anything to never feel that way again. Despite Eva’s stubborn streak, one call from Gideon has her back in his arms and looking positively towards the future.

Eva’s main priority now is planning her wedding. With the help of her mum, Cary and a wedding planner everything is falling into place, but some people just won’t leave them alone. Between Corinne, Anne and Deanna they are determined that Gideon should remain a single man.

Can Eva’s jealousy overcome the pitfalls set before her? Will Gideon continue to be open and upfront with Eva no matter what?
Can love and trust prevail?

Review

Long time coming but couldn’t wait to get started on the final episode in the adventures of Gideon and Eva. And what adventures they have had. In the few short months that they have been together there has been various women crawling out of the woodwork to steal Gideon away and play on Eva’s jealous streak, there has been an ex-boyfriend trying to lure Eva back and a step-brother trying to kill her, there has been murder, orgies, stalking mothers, secret weddings, nightmares, therapists, passion, seduction and lots and lots of sex!

In this final book it will be no shock to anyone who has read the previous four books in the series that plans do not always go as they should. I have no intention of giving away any spoilers in this final review because quite frankly if you have made it this far you don’t want any. Let me just say that teamwork and trust, openness and honesty will make any couple stronger, and Gideon and Eva are going to need them.

I think that this finished off the series nicely although a further look into their future would be nice, perhaps five years from now to see if they are still together? Have kids? Work together? Find out how Cary is coping with fatherhood (if the baby is really his) and whether Trey is on the scene. There just seemed to be a lot of “what happens with/when?” left unanswered at the end. It wouldn’t need to be a full novel just a short novella to finalise everything.

One final note: Be prepared to shed a tear
Enjoy!
