Treasured by Thursday – The Weekday Brides by Catherine Bybee

Gabi Masini has spent the past 18 months trying to get her life back to normal after her husband drugged her and tried to kill her.  With the help of family and friends, a new job, and a new outlook on life she tells herself that she is doing ok.  Until the day she meets Hunter Blackwell.
Hunter needs a wife, approaches his old friend Blake Harrison and arranges a meeting with Alliance.  The problem now is that Gabi, who is now working for Alliance, won’t accept him as a client.  As both parties compile their own background checks on each other, Hunter discovers some interesting information and uses this against Gabi, forcing a marriage between the two.
Threats come from all sides.  To Hunter they come in the form of friends and family who do not believe that Gabi would have willing entered the marriage after everything she had been through and to Gabi they come in a much more deadly form.

Review

Sad to see the ending of this series of books.  The female characters have been inspiring and powerful, the male characters have shown love, compassion and understanding.
This final story has all that the other books had and brought together all the characters as one big family.  Hunter is just what Gabi needs to bring herself out of herself again and show the world that one asshole will not ruin her life forever.  Flashbacks and fear pave the way and although Hunter doesn’t fully understand (because Gabi doesn’t tell him) he knows that he has to tread lightly.

If you like your Happy Ever Afters this is a great series to read.

I will definitely read more Catherine Bybee novels in the future.
