Meg Rosenthal has never had dreams of “Happy Ever After” which works well with her new job at Alliance. When she hears about a resort that has a strict no photography and no internet policy she decides to check it out as a possible honeymoon break for future clients. Taking her best friend’s brother and Hollywood superstar, Michael Wolfe, would test the resorts privacy to the max.
Valentino Masini is the proud owner of the island that houses the resort but one glance at Meg and all his rational thoughts escape him. One thing Val will not do though is mess with a girlfriend of one of his resort clients that is until he finds out that things aren’t always as they seem.
Michael knows his wines and when he is presented with one that doesn’t seem quite right he unwittingly starts a chain reaction of events that could have deadly consequences.
I know I say this with nearly every one of these books but I really enjoyed it. The characters are mesh together and they are like one big extended family. As much as this story focuses on Meg and Val, we also have a continuation of Michael’s story and introduction into Gabi’s story (Treasured by Thursday).
The thought of a secluded island, no internet, no phones, sounds ideal in this non- stop technological world we live in.
Love Meg’s attitude to life, in fact I admire all of the strong female characters in these books. They rely on their strong men as well but don’t take any shit!
Although these are relatively standalone books it is highly recommended that you read them in order to get the most of the characters and their backgrounds.
